How Is It Possible To Learn To Sing By Yourself?
This question is very pertinent and important. As a church organist with lots of experience in singing and directing a choir, I can say that it is possible to learn to sing by yourself.
In this age of technology, mobile apps can aid the skills of learning Music by yourself.
Again, one needs to know how to sight-read Music which will be an added advantage and make the work of the Organist or the music leader so easy.
If the choristers learn to sing by themself, the rehearsal will be easy, smooth and sweet.
Leaning singing is pretty simple but requires determination.
How Do I Find My Singing Voice?
This is a question that all music lovers ask all the time and from experience; before you can discover your voice, you must be skilled in Music theory and have the basic rudiments of Music
. Everyone has a voice texture, and we all need to identify our voice range so as not to strain our voice.
It is the work of Music trainers or Organists to help singers identify their singing voices.
We have the basic range of voice that sings in the choir, like the sopranos, alto, tenor and basses. We also have others like contra sopranos too.
Moreover ,if you want to find your voice range, you need to let a Music expert do this for you by texting your voice texture and range.
Is Singing Talent Or Skill?
From experience, I can say that singing is a talent and a skill simultaneously, but it depends. Talent supersedes skills, but you need skills to improve your talents too. The two are interwoven.
If one is a talented singer, one will perform excellently in the presentation of songs, and we all can agree that in singing, we have some skills that need to be learnt like sight-reading and getting to know various dynamics in Music which is helpful along the way.
What Is A Bad Voice?
Bad voice? I do not believe there is someone with a bad voice, only if you did not improve yourself on how to sing. Singing is a skill that needs training and consistency for improvement.
We have choristers that sing off-key when they join the choir due to a lack of skills needed for singing, but with time, they will improve and blend with the choir.
This does not make them have a bad voice, but their voice needs to be fine-tuned and trained to produce better sounds.
Can A Terrible Singer Become Good?
ABSOLUTELY. This is possible, but the choristers must be dedicated and consistent. The person needs to attend the rehearsal and do the necessary voice training skills.
In practice, we all bring something good, and you improve by developing your skills and talents.
A terrible singer can improve if they make efforts and determination to improve by doing lots of exercise given.
Is Singing Natural Or Learned?
This is a very good question. Music can be learned, and it can also be natural. We all go to choir rehearsal to learn new pieces of Music scores.
This is very important to master the Music we are about to render in concerts and other places of ministration.
It can be natural if we can compose songs like Handel Messiah. All these are being done through inspiration.
Sometimes, people love singing and singing naturally without being stressed.
How Can I Sing Beautifully?
For you to sing beautifully, you need to understand a little bit of the rudiments of Music to master the dynamics of Music.
Again, you must be a disciplined and dedicated fellow who knows his onions. Before you can sing beautifully, you must also be familiar with the song and need constant practice.
You must believe in God, the source of good things because He inhabits our praises.
Why Do I Sound Horrible When I Sing?
A lot of factors might cause this. It might be because you are not taking good care of your voice and you do not do voice training.
As singers, we all need to take adequate care of our voices.
You can fine-tune your voice by taking the right food and constantly doing voice training.
What Kind Of Drink To Have A Good Voice For Singing?
As singers, you must drink lots of water.
Water is very helpful for people that want to have a good voice. The female voice needs lots of warm water to sing high key notes, and try not to have the habit of always shouting or taking cold water.
Water is the most liquid that is needed for maintaining a good voice.
